OHS POLICY
It is our policy to comply with all applicable requirements, including those related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, and those of OHSAS 18001:2007. Poseidon Multimarine Services Ltd provides:
• Installation and inspection of fixed firefighting systems, firefighting and lifesaving equipment.
• Periodical inspection, refilling and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
• Survey and maintenance of self-contained breathing apparatus of ships.
• Sales Service and test of Dräger gas detectors and alcotests.
• General Ship Supplies (excluding food supplies/provisions).
We have developed a management system to control our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) work environment and to achieve the aims of this policy on board and ashore respectively. We set targets and establish appropriate programs which will be monitored and will measure OHS matters, to continually improve our OHS compliance.
Employees and others acting on behalf of Poseidon Multimarine Services Ltd will be made aware of this policy, related policies, standards and guidelines. Moreover, the management of Poseidon Multimarine Services Ltd is responsible for ensuring that employees and others acting on behalf of Poseidon Envi Marine Supplies Ltd are properly trained in these laws and policies. Professionals in all areas of related to products, operations and workplace safety are available to assist in these matters.
The aims of Poseidon Multimarine Services Ltd can be summarised as follows:
• To comply and continually monitor scale and OHS risks of its activities and services.
• To establish and monitor OHS objectives with respective programs at relevant levels and functions within the company’s departments.
• To take appropriate action based on constructive internal and external feedback.
• To incorporate this policy into its employees’ daily job duties and business decisions.
• To participate in training and education programs to improve compliance, both on and off the job OHS practices.
• To prevent injury and ill health, and continually improve its OHS management and OHS
performance.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations, as well as other requirements, as these relate to its OHS hazards.
• To operate and maintain equipment, facilities and processes in a safe manner.
This policy will be made available to all interested parties and Poseidon Multimarine Services Ltd requires all Directors, Managers and employees to fulfil their legal responsibilities and to cooperate in order to ensure the company’s continued success and growth.
